We walked along the path, and I felt as if someone was watching me from the trees but no one was. Then a snake slithered across the dirt path and I screamed; someone told me to shut up, it was my boyfriend Topaz. The snake gave us the weirdest look then slithered away.

We reached the mansion and Amber, our captain, began laying out orders. “And whatever happens, remain quiet,” She said. hopefully we would make it back to the Green Jewel unnoticed with our theft. We had already lost Pyros to the police a month ago; we couldn’t afford to lose any more pirates.

I snuck in through the window Amber mentioned and found it to be a dining hall. I quickly collected some of the fine china plates and stashed them in my sack.

I snuck around for a bit but then I heard a shout and knew the guards had noticed us. I ran to the window but guards had come out the other side of the dining hall and pointed at me, shouting something. I fled out of the hall with the sound of gunfire pursuing me. I ran into Topaz but the guards surrounded us. They searched us for weapons and took back the loot we stole.

We are in prison now. Luckily we got to share a cell so we can talk to each other. But the prison guards are mean and mock us with ‘poor little baby pirates’ or something along those lines, I don’t understand English very well. Topaz does though and he said that we might be in prison for a while because pirates are so rare nowadays that no one knows how to punish caught pirates.

However the Green Jewel has cannons and shot down the seaside fort we were stuck in, and our crewmates rescued us.

2 hours later…

“Hey Jade want to be my girlfriend?” Topaz asks.

“Sure,” I said. Then we kissed.
